The Credit Union is a non-profit organization, chartered under Federal Law in 1969 to enable its members, collectively, and by co-operative endeavor to "Help themselves to economic betterment".

All credit union deposit accounts are federally insured up to a combined total of $250,000 by the National Credit Union Association, an agency of the U.S. Federal Government.
